For those…

… who need to make network connections in low power, space confined areas in hostile environments, now you can!

Cisco IR807

with Verizon Wireless LTE Advanced

Deployable on the tops of mountains or the middle of deserts, the Cisco IR 807 is an ideal solution for IoT applications where space, heat dissipation, low power consumption and exposure to extreme temperatures in harsh environments, are critical factors.

The IR 807, Cisco’s smallest multimode 3G and 4G LTE wireless router, has an integrated 9.6 to 60V DC power input and is designed to withstand hostile environments, including shock, vibration, dust, and humidity, and supports a wide temperature range to operate at –40 to 140°F (–40 to 60°C).

Purpose built for deployment in Utility sub-stations & pole tops, oil wells, and for asset tracking in remote locations, the IR 807 with Verizon Wireless LTE Advanced allows you to deliver reliable IoT connectivity when and where you need it.

Performance

Fueled by Cisco IOS for 750Mbps performance with 350Mbps encrypted throughput, the IR807 helps you securely connect and optimize performance of essential “things” in your industrial networks. The IR807 provides theease of zero touch provisioning and cloud management (via Cisco Kinetic). Or, benefit from Verizon’s lite or full management options for Cisco Industrial Routers. IoT Security

As more organizations connect industrial devices to their IP networks to optimize and better secure their industrial processes, the integration between IT networks and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) is greater than ever. The increased connectivity of industrial devices, or Operational Technologies (OT), to a company’s Information Technologies (IT) networks means even more exposure to cyberthreats. Now, attacks on an industrial network can not only disrupt or shut down production resulting in revenue loss, human and environmental hazards, but can also disable corporate IT networks.

Preventing & detecting these threats requires identifying all industrial devices on the network, decoding industrial device protocols, and understanding normal and anomalous behavior of these devices. Preventing threats from occurring and spreading requires firewalling, micro-segmenting, and using the network as a security threat sensor to detect anomalies and automatically enforce security policies. Finally, investigating and quickly remediating these threats requires OT processes and context be fed into IT security management platforms. That’s a lot to ask! But Cisco IoT security makes it possible.

With Cisco Cybervision industrial device sensors are deployed on Cisco industrial network devices (routers, switches & wireless) saving the cost and complexity of adding new sensing devices. Industrial protocols are then identified and translated creating an inventory and map of industrial devices on your the network. Your 4G industrial router network perimeter is secured with Cisco Trust Anchor Technology ensuring authenticity of hardware and software, hardware-accelerated Next Generation Encryption, and firewall and VPN services all integrated into Cisco IOS running on the IoT router. And, the internal network segmented with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). Cisco Cybervision in combination with Cisco Stealthwatch then detect anomalous behavior, automatically enforce security policies and provide hi-fidelity alerts to your IT security management platform such as Cisco Threat Response.
